Jay
Wilson was most recently Executive
Chairman (North America) of NOP World, one of the top ten global market
research companies. In this role, he was responsible for helping grow
NOP World globally, both through organic initiatives and through the
identification and evaluation of potential acquisitions in the U.S.
and abroad. Previous to this, Jay was Chairman and CEO of Roper Starch
Worldwide, which he sold to NOP World in 2001. He was responsible
for taking a small, struggling research company and creating one of
the world's foremost multinational market and media research companies
worth over $80 million at the time of its sale. He also was responsible
for founding one of the world's first truly international research
alliances - INRA, of which Roper Starch was an originating member.
Jay has held and currently holds a number
of key leadership positions in the market research industry, including
being Co-Chair of the Council of Marketing and Opinion Research (CMOR)
and a Board Member of the Partnership of Research Associations. He was
elected to the Market Research Council Hall of Fame in 2001 and, in
April 2003, received the prestigious ARF Industry Leadership Award.
He is a graduate of Yale University and holds an MA-equivalent degree
in Historical Studies from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, England. |
